The slope, views and north defined the project as an "eye" (in plan) that looked over the top of the trees. It has materials such as the "colonial plate" that refers to the past that linked Valdivia and Germany, also wooden tiles that are part of both southern architecture and some German towns. Wohnwald derived from the "Wohnküche" which is a kitchen also intended as a dining room and meeting place.
